If I walk into a room and there is one person, I will have a conversation. If I walk into a room and there are two people, I will facilitate a workshop.
Whether story telling, creative writing, therapy, substance abuse or job search, I have been facilitating workshops for the community, the military, business and industry for the last decade.

I am now serving as a Job Search Support workshop leader at Veterans Village of San Diego. VVSD serves all veterans from all branches of service. VVSD is primarily a residential program based on the 12 Steps Program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
In addition, I have previously served as a volunteer Workshop Leader for the Naval Medical Center San Diego. I developed The WORRDS Workshop, (Writing, Observing, Remembering, Reflecting, Describing, Storytelling) specifically for appropriateness within a military environment, combining therapeutic processes, narrative techniques, and elements of improvisation and drama therapy.
My work is sponsored by The San Diego Armed Forces YMCA, co-facilitated with the department's Recreation Therapist.

Since 2001: Regional Trainer/Community Liaison, for The Library of Congress Veteran's History Project. I am responsilbe for all local marketing and networking with community groups, organizations and museums. I promote the Library of Congress' Oral History Programs, schedule meetings, and conduct training programs for the volunteer interviewers. I created the training program, and conduct all of the workshops. Due to my advocacy, oral history programs have been initiated at The USS Midway Museum, The San Diego Air and Space Museum, The San Diego LGBT Center, The Barona Cultural Museum, Vitas Hospice, The Bereavement Coalition, Cal State San Marcos, San Diego Department of Health and Human Services, and San Diego State University, among others. (Part-Time Consulting).

2004 to 2006: USIS, Investigator: With Top Secret Security Clearance, I conducted interviews for military personnel on board ships and at military and research installations throughout California.

2002 to 2004: US Navy Prevent Program: Classroom Trainer for Substance Abuse Prevention Workshops on base in San Diego and Pearl Harbor, as well as on board ships while underway.
